Art of Fire is a full scale working art glass studio whose 2400 furnaces create both awe and warmth among visitors. Located in a renovated dairy barn in Northern Montgomery County in Maryland, Foster Holcombe, Theda Hansen, Todd Hansen, Josh Ries, and Bruce Ferguson ply the trade of glassmakers of old. During the summer Foster and Theda relocate to their summer studio in Chaumont, NY, to blow glass and teach glassblowing classes. We offer beginning, intermediate and advanced classes as well as scheduling demonstrations for groups. If you don't want a class, but want an experience, you can blow your own ornament.
