The Orchestra of the Adirondacks
The Lake Placid Sinfonietta, the Orchestra of the Adirondacks, is a professional chamber orchestra that presents a summer festival during July and August. World-class soloists join the twenty top classical musicians from around the country in concerts at the LPCA, young children dance freely at open air park concerts, and many Adirondack communities enjoy the excitement of a live performance in their own backyard.
At a glance
- 6 Sunday evening concerts at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts include exciting soloists with complimentary meet the artists receptions. Bring the kids for only $5
- Six open air park concerts on the shore of Mirror Lake in downtown Lake Placid go on rain or shine. If it rains, we miss the lake but love the acoustics offered by St. Agnes Church.
- Look for performance dates in Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake, Keene Valley, Ticonderoga and North Creek, and a children’s concert in Lake Placid.
