That may be how Valcour Brewing Company describes themselves, but others might add that their location scares up an additional moniker, "haunted."

Due to the unique history of their location in the Old Stone Barracks-  the last remaining structure of the proposed quadrangle of an early U.S. Army barracks built in 1838- the location has been purported to have some additional guests sidling up to the bar to enjoy locally brewed taps. Of course, it may only be a rumor. So instead of setting out to solve some dark mystery at the brewery,  you may have more guaranteed results getting yourself a dark locally crafted beer. They have rotating seasonal brews and standbys worth sticking to.
