Boonville Snow Festival
One noisy weekend shows how Boonville earns its nickname
Boonville is known as “The Snow Capital of the East” – it gets more than 200 inches a year and is a major snowmobile destination. And it never gets busier than its Snow Festival, when hundreds of snowmobile racers and thousands of fans turn up. This annual three-day event features vintage snowmobile races and a leg of the Pro Circuit Tour. No worries about where to leave your sled, either – the event advertises snowmobile parking all weekend long.
At a glance
- Bring your own sled and register for the torchlight parade on Friday night
- Fireworks launch the event on Friday night
- Check out the snow sculptures – Boonville residents are eligible to participate in a contest that will be decided during the festival
