Mare's (of Mare's Wares) vision has always been to present a day of arts and entertainment to celebrate the arts in its many forms including musicians, artisans of all types, wine and beer makers, farmers, authors, body workers, and theater groups.  All vendors who participate are included by invitation only, which helps maintain the quality of the offerings. As Mare’s Wares Arts Fest has grown over the past several years, it has become a well-known artistic, cultural, and educational institution. It appeals to an audience of all ages from both sides of the border. As the event is ALWAYS July 1 - Canada Day – its coordinators feel as though they serve as good will ambassadors. The day-long event incorporates live music, children's activities, and educational demonstrations as well as a variety of high quality work from well-known and well-respected artisans from the North Country and beyond – and it’s free!
