An Adirondack oil artist
Edith Urban is a very capable Adirondack artist whose work is represented in oil. Edith was born in the Adirondacks, lived most of her life here and has painted for over 40 years. Her work is represented in landscapes, wildlife and occasionally a portrait of a favorite family pet of the present or in memorial.
The style of Edith's work is realistic as taught to her many years ago by her mentor Raymond Jackman. Edith's work has been shown in juried expositions at Lake Placid Center for the Arts, The Paul Smiths Visitor Interpretive Center, The Adirondack Artist's Guild and recently as a guest artist of the month at NorthWind Fine Arts Gallery. Edith has a Gallery at her home where she also makes unique one of a kind handbags from mostly vintage material.
